Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about your A-Series purchase by searching for Frequently Asked Questions.

What’s included in the box?

You’ll receive your A-Series optic plus documentation. Some models also include a color-matched protective case, and the A3 Monocular includes a hand strap. Check your model page or packaging for the exact contents.

How do I attach (or remove) the strap?

A-Series uses the Snap-Lock™ strap connection for quick attach/remove. Follow the Quick Start steps included in the box. If you prefer no strap, remove the strap connection hardware and use the included cap(s) for a clean, streamlined carry.

How do I set up the eyecups and focus for my eyes?

Start by adjusting the eyecups for how you view (with or without glasses). Then focus on a high-contrast object at distance using the center focus wheel (binoculars) or focus ring (monocular). Fine-tune until edges are sharp.

How do I adjust the binoculars for my face (IPD)?

Open or close the barrels until you see one circular image (not two overlapping circles). This sets your interpupillary distance for a comfortable, strain-free view.

I wear glasses—what’s the best setup?

With glasses, keep the eyecups down (or in the lowest position) and adjust the barrels (IPD) until you see one full, bright circle. Without glasses, extend the eyecups for the most comfortable viewing.

My image looks blurry or I’m seeing double—what should I do?

First, reset your setup: adjust barrel spacing (IPD) until you see one circle, then refocus. Make sure the lenses are clean and dry. If you still see double images or can’t achieve a sharp view, contact Customer Service—we’ll help.

How do I clean the lenses without scratching them?

Use a soft lens cloth. If needed, blow off dust first, then gently wipe. Avoid paper towels or rough fabrics. EXO Barrier® helps repel water and smudges, but basic lens care will keep optics performing their best.

Are A-Series optics waterproof? What does IPX7 mean?

Yes—A-Series is Waterproof (IPX7 rated) for confidence in the elements. After exposure to rain or splashes, dry the exterior and store your optic in a dry place

How do I store my binoculars/monocular between trips?

Store your optic clean and dry. If your model includes a protective case, use it for pack-and-go protection. Avoid leaving optics in extreme heat (like a sealed vehicle in summer) for extended periods.

Should I register my product? What if I need help?

Yes—registering is quick and helps if you ever need support. If you have questions about setup, use, or performance, reach out to Bushnell Customer Service and we’ll get you taken care of.
